Today in class, we did two things:
Thing One: Review verb concepts for test on Day 5 (Wednesday and Thursday). Below are links to the verb review packet with answers and a verb review Quizlet to study that includes all the terms in your notes. Thing Two: Notes for our poetry unit with some figurative language terms: metaphor, simile, hyperbole, personification. Below are links to the song we used to practice the terms as well as a Quizlet to practice figurative language terms. Please note that there are terms in both the song and the Quizlet that we will be learning in our next class, feel free to get a head start. (Extra Credit: What verb tense did I just use??)

Our grammar homework will often be on the website as opposed to a printed sheet of paper. The following are the instructions to access the student website:
Cheers! Ms. Agazzi Why hello there, scholarly people!
One of our requirements in English this semester is to create an account at www.goodreads.com. This website is a valuable tool for sharing what you're reading and getting recommendations for new good reads. heh. bad pun, I know... Please be sure to create an account this week and then friend request yours truly by selecting the 'add friends' button and then typing in my email address: [email protected]. Several scholars have mentioned that they are struggling to add friends on the android apps either using phones or e-readers. Please see me if this is an issue you're having and you can log on from a device at school in order to add me. As always, see me if you have any issues. Communication=Good Doing Nothing= Bad :) Ever Most Sincerely, Ms. Agazzi Welcome to 2nd semester at Heritage Academy Laveen! I am thrilled to have you back and I am confident we are going to have another amazing semester in which I give witty one-liners, you fail to laugh and roll your eyes; I execute fabulously well-planned lessons and you all stay wide awake and answer every question with joy and enthusiasm, and hopefully we all learn something about reading, writing, grammar and little bit of life in the end. Please click here to review the policies and procedures for this semester as well as a review of Manuscript Form. Don't forget that I am HIGHLY encouraging ya'll to avoid screen time Monday-Thursday during school weeks and instead use the time to pursue academic pursuits. I'm excited to hear how much each of you ADORES this change in your life, you're gonna love it! (Stop crying, it'll be fiiiinnnneee!)
Ever in your service, Ms. Agazzi |
